- The NBA is experiencing it's tightest conference race ever. The Western conference is ridiculous this year. Only one game separates the 7,8,9 spots, and this year, if you lose 2 in a row, you can drop 3 or 4 spots. All this is really irrelevant, because the Lakers are going all the way.
